While working on WordPress sometimes you may come across a situation, where you require the Post, Page or any Category ID.
What Is An ID In WordPress?
ID is a unique Number in WordPress used to find any particular post, page, category or a comment in the Database.
Usually WordPress does not show these ID’s in the Dashboard. So here I will explain you a simple method to find these ID’s.
Way To Find WordPress Page And Post ID
It is very easy to find these post and page id, just login to your Dashboard
Open the posts section and edit the post whose ID you are looking for, now the post will open in the editor.
Now look at the address bar, here you can find the post ID.
You can use the same method to find the Page ID. Just go to the page menu, click on the edit button and you can see the Page ID in the address bar.
Way To Find WordPress Category And Tag ID
Finding category and Tag id is similar as finding post id.
Just go to the category menu
Edit the category whose ID you are looking for, now the category opens in the editor, now in the address bar you can find the category ID as shown below.
In the above image it shows Tag_Id=25, but actually it is category ID, because the Tags and Categories are managed by the same editor which shows the same URL format.
Way To Find WordPress Comment And User ID
To find comment ID first go to comment section in your Dashboard
Simply edit the comment whose ID you are looking for, now the comment opens in editor.
Now in the address bar you can see the comment ID as shown above, and the process is same for the user id also.
Just go to the user section in your dashboard and Edit your desired user and in the address bar you can see the ID.
There is a Plugins called Reveal ID which displays the ID’s as per your choice.
